We are proud to announce our newest initiative aimed at both supporting disadvantaged communities, and taking additional burden off of the planet. Starting in 2023, our customers will be given the option to trade in a gently used Terracea jacket for a percentage off of a new piece of gear. The used jackets will be compiled into a gear library that will be available to donate to a number of our community partners.

1% For The Planet
One of our largest initiatives at Terracea is to find ways to offset our overall carbon footprint on our planet. Last year in 2022, we made a decision to donate to 1% For The Planet each year as a way to give back to causes that will help protect the environment for years to come. Even with sustainability measures in mind with our manufacturing processes and material selection, we know we are inherently placed in an industry that creates waste based on the products that we've created. We will continue to innovate and find new ways to reduce our overall impact on our home, and will strive to be a driving force for this initiative.
Share Winter Foundation
We are very excited to announce that Terracea has partnered with the Share Winter Foundation to help support the winter sports participants of the future! Share Winter is a grantmaking organization that provides grants and resources to non-profit organizations by providing access to ski and ride programs across the U.S. They work closely with carefully selected grantees to build efficient, effective, sustainable winter sports programs and pipelines to ongoing winter sports participation. Access to all means a lot to us, and we are stoked to work with Constance and her team to further her mission.
One Warm Coat
One Warm Coat is a fantastic nationwide non-profit group that provides gently used apparel and footwear items to organizations that help distribute them to those in need. Their mission statement is: "Our mission is to provide free coats to children and adults in need while promoting volunteerism and environmental sustainability". At our core, we at Terracea believe that everyone has the basic need to stay warm and dry during winter months - With our Terracea Gives program, we pledge to donate to One Warm Coat each year with jackets that we receive back from our online customers in order to reduce our impact on landfills and to provide warm clothing to people that need it the most.
The Wish Project
We have worked with The Wish Project for the past few winter seasons as as donation partner, and we've stayed motivated in watching their team provide items to those in need within their local community. The Wish Project focuses on serving the community surrounding Chelmsford MA and neighboring areas as a recipient of donated goods (including apparel). We look forward to working with Alyce and her team going forward as part of our Terracea Gives program, and also as a direct recipient of extra products we may have at our warehouse.
