Supporting Like-Minded Missions
Since the beginning of Terracea, we have been active participants in supporting other organizations that give back to both our local community, and the winter sports community as a whole. Through product donations and volunteering our time, we have been able to help give people throughout the world the experience of a day spent on the mountain, and beyond.
1% for the Planet
We have decided to join 1% for the planet, a global network of businesses, individuals, and nonprofits that donates funds to tackle the planet’s most pressing
environmental issues. They stand to prevent greenwashing, certify reputable giving and provide accountability. We will be donating 1% of our annual revenue towards this great cause!
Share Winter Foundation
Inspiring the winter sport participants of tomorrow, Share Winter is a grant-making organization that provides resources to non-profits, and provides access to ski and ride programs across the US. Through nationwide partnerships, they strive to make winter sports accessible to a broader, more diverse community, and share winter with over 100,000 youth by 2028. We will be assisting Share Winter with monetary and gear donations.
AMC Youth’s Opportunities Program
Hosted by the Appalachian Mountain Club, the Youth Opportunities Program (YOP) is an outdoor education and social justice organization with a goal of equal access to the outdoors – regardless of social or economic barriers. Since their start in 1968, they have provided tens of thousands of young people with access to outdoor experiences across New England and the Greater New York City region. We will provide apparel towards the AMC YOP gear closet.
We were stoked to donate some of our jackets and pants to the community gear closet at Unlikely Riders in Vermont! Their mission is to encourage all Black, Indigenous, and People of Color to engage in fun, radical joy and offer support to find healing through the mountains while centering the needs and abilities of winter sport participants. More to come.
