Material is gathered from sleeping bags, pillows, and worn out jackets to create an incredibly warm 650 Fill Insulation, and then bundled up in our DWR treated outer layer. The Nilus not only leads the way in sustainable warmth, but prioritizes functionality with Zippered Utility Pockets, a Fold-Down Chin Guard, and Dual Handwarmer Pockets.

Re-Down® Recycled Down Technology
Re-Down® recycles down and feathers extracted from post consumer goods so that they can be re-used as filling material in apparel, sleeping bags or bedding products. This insulation is 100% recycled, composed of 80% Recycled Down and 20% Recycled Feathers.
RE-Down insulation is traceable from the post consumer product stage until the finished product. The company takes thrown away used down jackets, duvets and pillows, collected and recycling them into new insulation products. The fabric shells (counting for approximately 30% of the total weight) are chopped into small pieces and are re-used in non-woven insulation. It is not only the down and feathers which are re-used for new apparel products, the broken feathers and down fibers which were not possible to re-use in duvets or pillows are also turned into an organic fertilizer.
